Our mission, vision and values
Mission
Our mission is to improve the lives of people in Cheshire through creating sustainable jobs and contributing to the local economy by selling locally grown produce.
Vision
- We will establish five 10 acre farms across Cheshire, growing fruit, vegetables, salads and herbs to be sold through weekly boxes, market stalls at train stations and local farm shops and wholesalers
- We will create up to 50 permanent sustainable jobs for people who are long-term unemployed across our five farms
- We will employ up to 40 paid seasonal staff across five farms every year from April to September, giving them work experience, transferrable skills training, certificates of competence and a written reference to help them find permanent work
- We will create a healthy, therapeutic environment on each farm, ideal for people with physical and learning disabilities, or for people who may be recovering from depression, post-traumatic stress or other mental health conditions
- We will offer formal and informal study facilities for children and student groups to help them learn about growing their own produce and maintaining a healthy diet
Values
- Treat each other with respect
- Achieve high quality at all times
- Give our customers good service and value for money
- Engage with, and serve, the local community
- Maintain happy and inclusive places to work and visit
